Vegetable Paintings by Ju Duoqi
Chinese Artist Ju Duoqi created a series of wonderful paintings with vegetables. In 2005, she started to form different shapes with the natural colours of the vegetables. Most of her paintings are inspired by masters like Caravaggio, Van Gogh and Da Vinci, and remake them with her very own creative way. Continue reading to see more of her work.

Wow, the paintings are so lively. Would you by any chance know the medium of the paintings (oil, acrylic ??) Your blog is very stylistic as well. Loved it.
@Anusha: I believe most of the areas (background, some foreground) are prints like a collage, but she also puts the actual vegetables on the painting. I don’t think she used any paint.
I love the Van Gogh vegetable painting. Wish she’d do some Dali stuff.
Tim, you have a great wordpress theme.
‘This reminds me on that paintings (La Jaconde), made out of sausages:

Just with melons.
That is pretty interesting. Veg paintings using actual veg colors. I remember when I was a kid, I used to use some vegetables, paint them with colors & stamp it on a piece of paper & produced a collage. But in this painting, the artist actually used veg dyes. Very cool.
